Mission Statement: The International Inter-Active Community Access Network's (IICAN) mission is to use technology to decrease the academic achievement gap for K - 20 students of color in collaboration with Tacoma/South Puget Sound Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement Program (MESA) along with community and faith based organizations. History: The K-20 and Corporate history of i-ican can be traced back over 100 collective years of Dr. Andrew Griffin and Mr. John Pope, with an assist from Mr. James L. Smith and Mrs. Brenda S. Tisdale-Walker's experience's. This recently launched Website is the culmination of the vision to have an electronic resource for K-20, Community Based, and Faith Based organizations to communicate interactively in the goal to serve under represented students of color and their families through the MESA organization. |
